During the festive season of Holi, the entire Scindia family would converge at Janak Taal for a five-day extravaganza. A unique tradition was observed, where the royal family members were forbidden from returning to the palace during this period. Architectural Marvel

The architectural beauty of Janak Taal is equally captivating. The lake is adorned with four exquisite pavilions, strategically placed at its four corners. In the center of the lake, a fifth pavilion stands majestically, accessible only by boat. This architectural marvel was a testament to the ingenuity and grandeur of the Scindia era. The royal family and their sons would often embark on boating excursions to this central pavilion, indulging in leisurely pursuits and enjoying the serene ambiance.
